1. I was surprised to find myself blocked from commenting on Google+ by someone who I follow. We've had some vigorous discussions on a particular topic area, but nothing I considered notably vicious or irreconcilable. And I am, I like to think, a Nice Guy in such discussions. But, confirmed through looking at the person's profile, I cannot comment any longer on any of their posts.<\/p>\n

Which is a shame, but not so much of a shame that I feel any problem not following the individual any more. \u00a0They had an interesting perspective on a variety of things, not just the topic area (I assume) was the cause of the shunning, but c'est la Internet,<\/i> as the French say.<\/p>\n

(Ironically, I discovered this in trying to respond to a post they made asking a question about a completely separate topic. And I had the answer for them, too. Go figure.)<\/p>\n

2. On the other hand, I've decided I feel no compunction about all-out blocking people who post chain mail to G+. Including that godawful "A boy and a girl are talking" meme thing that ends, inevitably, with "send this to a bunch of other people and something awesome will happen to you."<\/p>\n

Okay, yeah, I believe in supernatural stuff, but Internet chain letters aren't part of my delusion. Get out of the meme pool, please.\ufeff<\/p><\/div>\n
