I don't see myself ever wearing one, but I can respect the desire of these artists to turn the symbol of Germany's Nazi regime (and their ideological descendants) back into the Sanskrit \/ Buddhist religious symbol of peace and virtue it originated from (and is still usually used for in Asia — I remember seeing them all over the place when touring India, which was mildly jarring).<\/p>\n

To think, it was only a decade ago that Microsoft got rid of the symbol in its Bookshelf Symbol font (https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2004\/04\/01\/oooooh_critical.html<\/a>).\ufeff<\/div>\n
