{"id":44665,"date":"2014-08-27T22:28:53","date_gmt":"2014-08-28T04:28:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2014\/08\/27\/back-to-school-night-high-school-edition.html"},"modified":"2014-11-05T11:11:41","modified_gmt":"2014-11-05T18:11:41","slug":"back-to-school-night-high-school-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2014\/08\/27\/back-to-school-night-high-school-edition.html","title":{"rendered":"Back to School Night (High School Edition)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gpb-content\">Had a long but pleasant evening at BtS night at the high school.<\/p>\n<p>The Marching Band helped serenade the gathering parents (Kay was nicely visible there until they dressed the lines), and they sounded damned good.<\/p>\n<p>There wasn&#39;t a lot of time for each class &#8212; with MWF and TR classes, each one got 6 minute, with a 5 minute passing period to the next one. So we got to meet (briefly) all of Kay&#39;s teachers, get the nickel tour about the class philosophy and what sort of material is stashed online (pretty much all of it), and then rush off to the next room.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, I was impressed by teachers and curriculum. <span class=\"proflinkWrapper\"><span class=\"proflinkPrefix\">+<\/span><a class=\"proflink\" href=\"https:\/\/plus.google.com\/103453067516847485667\" oid=\"103453067516847485667\">Kay Hill<\/a><\/span>\u00a0should have a good time, if she has enough time to catch her breath.\ufeff<\/div>\n<div class='gpb-photo-primary'><img src='https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/-uiYn6qyLL4I\/U_6uoCwswKI\/AAAAAAACywI\/nTNJVw47fjI\/IMG_20140827_175022836_HDR.jpg?imgmax=1024' border='0' style='max-width:100%;' \/><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class='gpb-links' style='clear:both;'> <a class='gpb-linkback' href='https:\/\/plus.google.com\/101083456815352083930\/posts\/ia9Tu2s5GaV' target='_new'>View this post on Google+<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Had a long but pleasant evening at BtS night at the high school.
