Feature sets, memory, performance, those come and go, but that familiar, customized experience is why we keep coming back. And why it&#39;s such a bother when stuff stops working, or when a new (or updated) extension blows up.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Largely since I&#39;m about to (as soon as I get some confirmation) load up the 64-bit Chrome, I needed to review the extensions I currently use in case something doesn&#39;t work. So while I was at it, here they are for your edification, amusement, or &quot;Holy crap, you can _do that?&quot; experience. I&#39;ve listed them roughly in order of importance to me.<\/p>\n<p><b>LastPass: Free Password Manager<\/b> v3.1.55:\u00a0<br \/>I use this password manager all the time. It gives me convenience, security, and still more convenience. If Chrome 64-bit doesn&#39;t work with it yet, I won&#39;t upgrade.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/hdokiejnpimakedhajhdlcegeplioahd\">https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/hdokiejnpimakedhajhdlcegeplioahd<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Xmarks Bookmark Sync<\/b> v1.0.28:\u00a0<br \/>I&#39;ve been using Xmarks for year. Yeah, I could just use the Chrome sync function to give me those bookmarks across all my machines. But it wouldn&#39;t help for those occasions where I have to run IE, or if I ever decide to move back to Firefox. Xmarks just plain works.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/ajpgkpeckebdhofmmjfgcjjiiejpodla\">https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/ajpgkpeckebdhofmmjfgcjjiiejpodla<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>SearchBar<\/b> v0.7.4:\u00a0<br \/>I wrote about this a while back. This gives me a customizable search bar, which I find more convenient than using the Omnibox. Use it all the time.<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/fjefgkhmchopegjeicnblodnidbammed\">https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/fjefgkhmchopegjeicnblodnidbammed<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>IE Tab<\/b> v7.7.24.1:\u00a0<br \/>Opens up an IE environment within a Chrome tab. Better yet, you can identify certain URLs that you know only run properly in IE to automatically open up in such a tab. I use this a lot at work (where, alas, a lot of our apps are still IE-centric).<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd\">https:\/\/chrome.google.com\/webstore\/detail\/hehijbfgiekmjfkfjpbkbammjbdenadd<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>MightyText &#8211; SMS Text Messaging from Computer<\/b> v12.6:\u00a0<br \/>Have SMS\/text messages from my phone pop up on my computer?
