Who owns your Kindle purchases after you die? Or your Google play purchases. Or your iTunes downloads?<\/p>\n

The straightforward answer is, base on the EULAs you've clicked through, nobody. Or, rather, they revert to Amazon \/ Google \/ Apple, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.<\/p>\n

I predict some serious law around this within the next ten years. In the meantime, consider formats (purchased or converted) that leave those digital assets to your heirs (assuming that they have any interest in them). And, as part of that, consider your ethical position in doing so.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
