I'm a registered Democrat, so I get emails. Lots of emails. Emails begging, threatening, then begging again for donations to the electoral cause.<\/p>\n

But I also follow along some odd Right-wing newsletters (great source material), I end up getting very, very similar emails from various Republican groups, also begging, threatening, and begging again for donations to the electoral cause.<\/p>\n

It's sometimes amusing. More often not. <\/p>\n

Don't get me wrong — yeah, I really do think this election (at least as much as any other) is important, and both my vote and some strategic donations will be my role in helping the side I'm least displeased with win. But getting the donation dunning from both sides of the spectrum — almost acts like white noise, canceling out the claims of Utter Disaster if Those Guys End Up with a Majority.<\/p>\n

I do have to say I'm looking forward to November. And not looking forward to the immediate shift to full-time presidential campaigning.<\/p>\n

This makes me very glad I've never registered as either a Democrat OR a Republican. I'd have to unsubscribe from the mailing list after the first three or so emails.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
