Upon consideration, we realized that keeping Kitten in two pre-school classes was madness (for us, if not for her), so, with some regret, we’ll be pulling her out of the Dry Creek pre-school after today. It’s a shame, because she’s enjoyed it, the teachers have been great, and it’s very convenient.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, I think the other school will be good, too, and in conjunction with the speech therapy, will be the place for her to be.<\/p>\n

It’s good timing, too. They have their Christmas<\/s> Holiday<\/s> Winter<\/s> Disney <\/i>party today, so it will be a nice send-off. Then, with the two week break for her, it will be the perfect time to start at the new school. She’s excited about that prospect, though I don’t know if it’s sunk in that she won’t be going back to Dry Creek. I do hope that transition isn’t too jarring for her. She’s changed pre-school programs before, and I haven’t observed her making any serious friendships with anyone there, but, still …<\/p>\n

(Heh. Just occurred to me. The facility she’s going to be going to is the Village for Early Childhood Education, a\/k\/a the Village. I wonder if I should teach her to call herself “Number 6<\/a>” …)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
