That being said, wild dogs couldn’t drag me to see his new flick, Cheaper by the Dozen<\/i><\/a>. I have a long-standing love for the Gilbreth saga <\/a>(starting with the stage adaptation of it we did when I was in junior high — I played in the orchestra), and seeing the quirky tale gutted and remolded into a screwball comedy (particularly of the “Isn’t Steve a wonderfully doltish parent to this Home Alone<\/i>-esque brood?” variety) is not something I need to pay to see.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" I think Steve Martin is a very clever and amusing man.
