My dad had a beautiful cello that he picked up — well, some decades ago (I want to say in the late 80s). As Mom is getting things in order after his passing last year, she's going ahead and selling it so that someone else can enjoy it.<\/p>\n

I don't actually expect anyone here to buy it (though if that were to happen it would be fairly awesome), but I wanted to post about it, just as a tribute.<\/p>\n

'Charles Quenoil cello, Igny (Paris), 1932 — Offered with the certificate of authenticity from William Moennig and Son. Charles Quenoil was born in Mirecourt, France in 1878 and died in 1952 near Paris. Was especially well known for his fine cellos and basses. This cello is in nearly perfect condition, with no cracks or any major blemishes.'<\/i><\/p>\n

Offered with the certificate of authenticity from William Moennig and Son. Strong, but not too heavy at 78.2 grams, this is both a collectors and a player's bow. This bow is in perfect condition, except for a small amount of thumb wear. Made by John Clutterbuck at the Hill shop in London in 1968, this exceptionally straight and beautiful bow will not disappoint!'<\/i><\/p>\n

Pricey items, but they gave my dad (and my mom) a lot of joy over the years.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
