As our kitchen is still offline, Jackie and Scott kindly hosted Game Day for this month, with the theme "Bring a bottle of wine you're not sure about." Played were:<\/p>\n

Machi Koro<\/b> – [NEW!] Catan\/SimCity resource management city-building made simple. Lots of fun. Look forward to replay. (Also known as "Minivilles" in some circles.)<\/p>\n

High Society<\/b> – [NEW!] Clever auctioning as you buy the most ostentatious goods while not being the most cash-poor at the end.<\/p>\n

Catan<\/b> – But of course. Two games played, actually — and +<\/span>Kay Hill<\/a><\/span> won the second one.<\/p>\n

Guillotine<\/b> – A fun standard.<\/p>\n

Tsuro of the Seas<\/b> – [NEW!] Adding the random element of kaiju<\/i> makes this more difficult to plan in than the original "Tsuro" (and makes things a bit less elegant), but it also lets you play with more people. Net-net, a somewhat different but still enjoyable game.<\/p>\n

Scattergories<\/b> – Classic party word game. Always enjoy this one.<\/p>\n

Password<\/b> – I am so glad that +<\/span>Mary Oswell<\/a><\/span> is as fanatical about this as I am, and that both of us have such cooperative spouses.<\/p>\n

Good times had by all, so far as I could see.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
