I suspect one of the reasons why sales are so down is the Kindle issue: the big demand from people for whom convenient single-serving coffee was important has been fulfilled, most people who really wanted a Keurig now have one, and thus the market moves largely into maintenance mode.<\/p>\n

But that they recognize that consumers were also really unhappy about the Digital Rights Management on the 2.0 Keurig coffee makers is both remarkable and heartening. I know of a number of folk who have shied away from the new Keurig systems for precisely that reason; they have their fill of that sort of thing with their printers, and don't want the same model jacking up the already-high cost of those K-cup servings.<\/p>\n

Hopefully other companies are paying attention.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
