Though being a policeman is not the most dangerous job in the world (http:\/\/goo.gl\/1O6TnH<\/a>), it's certainly riskier than, say, sitting behind a desk all day (except for the health risks of sitting behind a desk all day). And while the public is more and more seeing videos of police using deadly force against apparently innocent (or at least not terribly threatening) individuals, cops are getting trained more and more on the deadly dangers that might await them at the next traffic stop or other encounter with the general public.<\/p>\n

It's tough, because I definitely want cops to be able to protect themselves from the small number of lunatics and thugs who might choose to do them harm. But when that significantly raises the general concern level for all cops about all civilians they encounter, it seems like a recipe for trouble.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
