The Supreme Court has supported an appelate court ruling that bars the Federal Government from punishing doctors that discuss marijuana with their patients<\/a>. They did so by refusing to hear an appeal from the Bush administration<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Ashcroft Justice Dept., apparently having all the manpower it needs to fight terrorism and other high crimes, was looking to yank the federal prescription privileges of doctors who recommended medicinal marijuana, which is legal in several states, but forbidden under federal law.<\/p>\n

Not that I think it will make that much of a difference in the War on Drugs, but I’m pleased to see this particular battle won.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
