For the last three years, here’s how Easter works:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The Easter Bunny hits the house the night before and hides Easter eggs (chocolate) about the living room and entry hall. (These spaces are ideal because, well, the other places in the house are a tad, um, cluttered.)\n
  2. Sometime in the early afternoon, the Testerfolk arrive.<\/p>\n
  3. Sometime thereafter, Katherine and Justin (handicapped by starting time and occasional penalty box time-outs) have at it.<\/ol>\n

    Handicapping Justin has been important because, well, Katherine wasn’t always that great at spotting eggs.<\/p>\n

    This year, that changed. She was an Lean, Mean, Egg-Grabbing Machine. Indeed, in the end, she had at least as much in her basket as Justin, who’s ten years older than she is. There were very few moments when Justin was grabbing stuff and she couldn’t spot any. She’s got this down, man.<\/p>\n

    Which means, of course, next year we need to be a tad tricker as to where we hide the darned things. Bwah-ha-ha …<\/p>\n

    Side note: Katherine has decided that checkers is a keen game. She’s actually not that bad, especially with a full board. As the board comes down to just kings maneuvering around, she tends to believe in Chinese action flick style solo runs against the enemy, with much the same result as the endless mooks who attack the heroes of Chinese action flicks.<\/p>\n
