I am not one to leap into big plans quickly. I am, indeed, a stick in the mud. Changes to expectations are usually met with shock, dismay, and a detemination to bully things through as they were.<\/p>\n

So when I first saw Doyce’s note<\/a> about the Serenity <\/em>movie and cast and Joss and all tha<\/a>t appearing at the San Diego Comic-Con<\/a> (SDCC), and how bummed he was to miss it, I thought, heh, that’s funny.<\/p>\n

Then I made a comment about how he could crash on Mary’s floor while out there.<\/p>\n

After that — I’m not sure what happened. It all just spiraled quickly out of control<\/a>, and now, here I <\/em>am, flying to San Diego, along <\/em>with Doyce, staying at the In-laws’ tonight, and going to the Con for the rest of the weekend. <\/em>Oh, and I promised my first-born, or lots of swag, or something ominous to my wife, who insisted that it was a cool idea. I’m not sure — it’s all a blur.<\/p>\n

Anyway, things might be a tad quiet here, but I expect to be posting a bit from Mary’s (she has broadband, ha-ha!) and when I get back and all that.<\/p>\n

I’m still not quite sure how it all happened. But I’m not complaining too <\/em>much …<\/p>\n
