{"id":5808,"date":"2004-07-15T07:45:51","date_gmt":"2004-07-15T14:45:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2004\/07\/15\/two-by-two-red-state-blue.html"},"modified":"2004-07-15T07:45:51","modified_gmt":"2004-07-15T14:45:51","slug":"two_by_two_red","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2004\/07\/15\/two_by_two_red.html","title":{"rendered":"Two by two, red state, blue &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Slate <\/em>has put together a &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/slate.msn.com\/id\/2103764\/fr\/ifr\/\" target=\"_blank\">Are you Red State material or Blue State material<\/a>&#8221; quiz that &#8230; well, for me at least, is moderately accurate.<\/p>\n<p><center><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"youareinthemiddle.jpg\" title=\"In the middle of the blue\/red state divide\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/ptest\/youareinthemiddle.jpg\" width=\"279\" height=\"70\" border=\"0\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Actually, I find the very terms &#8220;red state\/blue state&#8221; fascinating.  Growing up, the GOP was always &#8220;blue&#8221; and the Dems (shakes of &#8220;pinkoism&#8221; or something?) were always &#8220;red,&#8221; at least on the big Presidential Election Return Boards the networks would run.
