{"id":6420,"date":"2004-09-06T21:51:25","date_gmt":"2004-09-07T04:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2004\/09\/06\/child-of-the-corn.html"},"modified":"2004-09-06T21:51:25","modified_gmt":"2004-09-07T04:51:25","slug":"child_of_the_co","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2004\/09\/06\/child_of_the_co.html","title":{"rendered":"Child of the corn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"CornMaze2004.jpg\" title=\"Corn Maze 2004\" src=\"\/blog\/images\/CornMaze2004.jpg\" width=\"280\" height=\"227\" border=\"1\" class=\"right\" \/>Had a fun time today going to the annual <a href=\"http:\/\/www.botanicgardens.org\/pageinpage\/cornmaze.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Corn Maze<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.botanicgardens.org\/pageinpage\/chatfield.cfm\" target=\"_blank\">Chatfield Arboretum<\/a> (now known as the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield).  It&#8217;s the first time we&#8217;ve been down to the Corn Maze (and the first time in a few years that we&#8217;ve toured the arboretum).  Katherine particularly enjoyed the Children&#8217;s Maze (in the lower right of the picture), and maneuvered it on her own, as well as taking each of us adults on a tour.<\/p>\n<p>In the main maze (five acres in size), Margie and I went as a pair, while my folks took Katherine.  It was illustrative of the disorientation that a maze \/ labyrinth \/ dungeon would instill in explorers, but it was also a lot of fun.
