So, a review of last year’s resolutions<\/a>:<\/p>\n

1. Spend more time with Kitten.
\n2. Get back to our cleaning regimen.
\n3. Finish the buffet.
\n4. Write. Edit. Write.
\n5. Oh, yeah ? lose weight.<\/p>\n

Hmmm. <\/p>\n

I did okay on (1), though I can certainly do better. If nothing else, though, we get some good “quality time” on the drive home from pre-school.<\/p>\n

We’re in real trouble on (2), and I don’t quite know what to do about it. Well, yes, I do, actually, but …<\/p>\n

We managed (3), albeit a year after the project started.<\/p>\n

I was pretty sad on (4).<\/p>\n

But the year was a triump with (5). I haven’t weighed myself in a couple of months, but all the Size 36s I got for Christmas are still fitting, despite three weeks of eating, drinking, and being merry.<\/p>\n

So, what for this year?<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Spend more time with Kitten.\n
  2. Try to cut back on external commitments some. Family first. <\/p>\n

    In particular, as rewarding as the various activities at church have been, I’ve overcommitted there on both the Search and the Vestry stuff. Nothing to do for that (and I’m not going to back out on them), but as those responsibilities begin to wind down, I don’t plan on going out of my way to backfill that time with more commitments there.<\/p>\n

    Easier said, perhaps, than done.<\/p>\n

  3. Write. Edit. Write. <\/p>\n

    To wit, a minimum of 15 minutes per day on writing activities. Minimum. Whatever it takes.<\/p>\n

  4. Keep the weight off, and walk 1,000 miles to nowhere<\/a>.<\/ol>\n

    If I can do all that, I’ll be a pretty happy camper for 2005.<\/p>\n
