A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uwnews.org\/article.asp?articleID=6814\" target=\"_blank\">study of childhood &#8220;imaginary friends&#8221;<\/a> (which 65% of all kids seem to have at some point or another) reveals:<\/p>\n<p class=\"block\">* While preschool girls were more likely to have an imaginary companion, by age 7 boys were just as likely as girls to have one.<\/p>\n<p>* 27 percent of the children described an imaginary friend that their parents did not know about.<\/p>\n<p>* 57 percent of the imaginary companions of school-age youngsters were humans and 41 percent were animals. One companion was a human capable of transforming herself into any animal the child wanted.<\/p>\n<p>* Not all imaginary companions are friendly. A number were quite uncontrollable and some were a nuisance.<\/p>\n<p>You got that last point right, brother &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Katherine does not have any imaginary friends.  That, of course, we know about.<\/p>\n<p>My imaginary friend was Munga, and I remember having very long conversations with him.
