For folks&#8217; edification &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spiffiness<\/strong><br \/>\nThese make life (or the Internet experience) nicer.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/roachfiend.com\/archives\/2005\/02\/07\/bugmenot\/\" target=\"_blank\">BugMeNot<\/a>: Bypass those annoying registration screens for some websites.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/downthemall.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">downTHEMall<\/a>:  Bulk graphics downloader.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/forecastfox.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ForecastFox<\/a>:  Put little weather icons in your status bar.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.meatme.net\/publish\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wayback<\/a>:  Context menu access to the Wayback archive for web sites.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tapouillo.com\/firefox_extension\/\" target=\"_blank\">Google Pagerank Status<\/a>:  Shows Google pageranks, just like the Google search bar does.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/kostecki.net\/fb\/\" target=\"_blank\">ImgTag<\/a>:  Get an HTML img tag for a page&#8217;s graphic file (for direct links to it).<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tabbed browsing<\/strong> <br \/>\nThough FF supports it, these extend it the way I want it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pryan.org\/mozilla\/site\/TheOneKEA\/tabprefs\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tabbrowser Preferences<\/a>:  The sine qua non, controlling what opens up in a new tab, etc.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/clav.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flowing Tabs<\/a>:  Wraps the tabs around to multiple lines, rather than squeezing them into a single line. (A version 1.x-compatable version can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.extensionsmirror.nl\/index.php?showtopic=232\">here<\/a>.)\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/twanno.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Duplicate Tab<\/a>:  Adds a &#8220;duplicate tab&#8221; (into a new tab, or a new window) function.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/twanno.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Tab Clicking Options<\/a>:  Lets you do certain things by clicking on tabs in certain ways (e.g., close a tab by double-clicking on it).\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/clav.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">CTC<\/a>:  Adds &#8220;Close tab&#8221; to the context menu.<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Browser functions<\/strong><br \/>\nThese add to what FF does as a browser.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/adblock.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Adblock<\/a>:  Block image ads from download and\/or display.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/flashblock.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Flashblock<\/a>:  Block flash images from download and\/or display.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/ieview.mozdev.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">ieView<\/a>:  Open a page in Internet Explorer (for those pages that must be so opened to function, dagnabbit).\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.meatme.net\/publish\/\" target=\"_blank\">Print It!<\/a>: Adds a print and print preview button to the tool bar, as well as print functions to the context menu.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/gorgias.de\/mfe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Add Bookmark Here<\/a>:  Adds to the bookmarking functionality.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/cdn.mozdev.org\/chromedit\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chromedit<\/a>: Graphical interface to the various FF config files.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/spellbound.sourceforge.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">SpellBound<\/a>:  Nice spell checker for web forms.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.splintered.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Text Size Toolbar<\/a>:  Adds text size up\/down controls to the toolbar.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/extensionroom.mozdev.org\/more-info\/sessionsaver\" target=\"_blank\">Session Saver<\/a>:  Tracks tabs you&#8217;ve closed during a session, and saves (and can reopen) open tabs when you close FF (particularly handy if your machine crashes).<\/ul>\n<p>One of the cool things about FF is that, if you don&#8217;t want the functionality listed above, you don&#8217;t have to have it.  And if you want something alternative (or in addition) to the above, chances are there are other extensions that have been created to do it.
