She&#8217;s one of three kids in the &#8220;Otter&#8221; cohort, and she&#8217;s behind the other two (who&#8217;ve had private lessons), struggling to learn forward and backward crawl.  But she&#8217;s perceptibly improving, and she&#8217;s enthusiastic, and she declared repeatedly over the weekend how she wants to be a swimming teacher when she grows up.<\/p>\n<li>Errands.  The Joy of Costco.<\/p>\n<li>CoH in the afternoon, participating in the big Freedom Phalanx Council-bash.  More over on the CoH page when I get to it.<\/p>\n<li>Hungry Flock &#8220;progressive church dinner&#8221; thang.  Good food, good conversation, lots of inquiries about the new rector I couldn&#8217;t answer, lots of discussions of controversial stuff, but quite pleasant.  New sitter worked out very nicely, so she goes on the list.<\/ul>\n<p>\n<strong>SUNDAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A very pleasant morning with Margie.<\/p>\n<li>Church.  Palm Sunday, so loooooong (both Matthew&#8217;s the entrance procession, and Matthew&#8217;s Passion, and the, alas, sermon).  No announcement on the new rector yet &#8212; but, appropriately, I expect one on Easter Sunday.<\/p>\n<li>Jackie was feeling under the weather, so the Testerfolk bowed out of the Sunday game, which I then cancelled (their being 40% of the team).  <\/p>\n<li>Finished getting Christmas down and packed away!  Huzzah!  And in one fewer crate than last year, which is &#8230; worrisome.<\/p>\n<li>Did some CoH stuff.   More on the CoH page when I get to it.<\/p>\n<li>Relatively early to bed.<\/ul>\n<p>\n<strong>TODAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Jury Duty!  In Colorado, it&#8217;s one-day-or-one-jury.  So I&#8217;ll could be dismissed when I show up, or sucked into a full-blown trial by the end of the day.  We&#8217;ll see.  I&#8217;d actually like to sit on a jury &#8212; it&#8217;s interesting stuff, when it isn&#8217;t so damned boring.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SATURDAY Swimming class with Katherine.
