{"id":7466,"date":"2005-02-28T07:35:15","date_gmt":"2005-02-28T14:35:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2005\/02\/28\/incredible-2.html"},"modified":"2005-02-28T07:35:15","modified_gmt":"2005-02-28T14:35:15","slug":"incredible_2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2005\/02\/28\/incredible_2.html","title":{"rendered":"Incredible"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Congrats to <em>The Incredibles <\/em>and Brad Bird for winning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oscar.com\/oscarnight\/winners\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">Oscars for Animated Feature Film and Sound Editing<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>The Animated Feature competition was against <em>Shark Tale <\/em>and <em>Shrek 2, <\/em>and I think the win went to the right film &#8212; in ten years, the latter two flicks will feel pretty dated, and in thirty nobody will understand why they won.  <em>The Incredibles, <\/em>on the other hand, speaks in a less &#8220;topical humor&#8221; sort of voice, and will remain, I think, a lot more fresh and viewable into the coming years, even as CG advances beyond its present state.<\/p>\n<p>The Sound Editing award was up against <em>Polar Express<\/em> and <em>Spider-Man 2<\/em>.  I have no comment on that, save that the sound (and, for that matter, the unnominated music) in <em>The Incredibles<\/em> was excellent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Congrats to The Incredibles and Brad Bird for winning Oscars for Animated Feature Film and Sound Editing.
