I find it appalling that I am sorely, sorely tempted to pick up the Lidsville<\/em> – Complete Series<\/a> DVD set.<\/p>\n

Lidsville<\/em><\/a> was one of what seemed like an endless array of Sid & Marty Kroft<\/a> live-action fantasy shows (along with H.R. Pufnstuf<\/a><\/em> and The Bugaloos<\/a><\/em>) that were major landmarks in my childhood Saturday mornings. <\/p>\n

What is more appalling than my Pavlovian desire to get the frelling DVD set is that I actually remember the lyrics to the show<\/a>. <\/p>\n

He was stunned and he was fascinated, still he had to see
\nThere was something deep inside the hat, what could that something be?
\nThen cautiously each step he took, he climbed up on the brim to look,
\nAnd all at once the hat began to shake, and rock — Look out!<\/p>\n
