So three things have happened of late:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. I’m now moving in more rarified management circles, such that, when I travel, I should probably wear a suit (at least on the first day and on days of meetings and the like) (mercifully, Cambridge doesn’t count for this item).\n
  2. I’ve dropped enough weight that my old suits (two of them, at least) now fit. (A third still doesn’t, but that one goes back … um … longer.)<\/p>\n
  3. I’ve discovered that the ones that do fit have moth holes in them. Rats.<\/ol>\n

    So … Friday afternoon turned out ot be a marathon trip to Men’s Wearhouse<\/a>. Exit quite a bit poorer, but with three tailored suits (and an extra pair of slacks), a couple of ties, and a dress shirt of a mustard color that I’d never have imagined buying but which Margie suggested.<\/p>\n

    Margie ragged on me about the ties. I noted to her that it’s about the only option we guys have to accessorize with.<\/p>\n
