The flight yesterday was fairly non-eventful, aside from some lousy customer service at the Concourse A McD’s (which Margie called the “how are we doing?” number on the bag to complain about). Well, that, and both the parking garages and adjoining lots at DIA being flagged as “FULL!”, complete with sandwich signs at the ticket gates (which was a bit too late); Margie finally spotted a not-too-bad slot on the outside lot that we parked in, and we actually passed several empty stalls in the garages on our way to the building.<\/p>\n
The latter intense search was made a bit more interesting by my being (a) the driver and (b) on the phone with someone from Singapore about a major payroll system failure in the UK. Joy.<\/p>\n
Anyway, as we sat on the plane and listened to kids crying, kids shouting, kids carrying on, then looked over at Katherine playing with her Leapster, or looking out the window, or generally not being any more annoying than she is at home, we both realized how good a traveller she’s gotten to be. Regardless of whether it’s her own good nature, or a matter of “practice, practice, practice,” or both, it’s quite a relief.<\/p>\n
