{"id":8054,"date":"2005-06-06T22:09:23","date_gmt":"2005-06-07T05:09:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2005\/06\/06\/oddest-thing-ever-spotted-whilst-flipping-through-the-channels.html"},"modified":"2005-06-06T22:09:23","modified_gmt":"2005-06-07T05:09:23","slug":"oddest_thing_ev","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2005\/06\/06\/oddest_thing_ev.html","title":{"rendered":"Oddest thing ever spotted whilst flipping through the channels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/tunnel3.gif\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"right\" height=120 width=158 title=\"Time Tunnel's Bissell and Meriwether\">On the hotel cable, a show on Univision (Spanish language TV), <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.univision.net\/corp\/en\/pr\/Miami_25042003-2.html\" target=\"_blank\">La Parodia<\/a><\/em>, doing a spoof on &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvparty.com\/tunnel.html\" target=\"_blank\">The Time Tunnel<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, complete with Lee Meriwether and Whit Bissell look-alikes, swirly time-travel shots, the music, something that resembled the Tunnel, and slow motion appearances where\/when Doug and Tony (er, Frank e Ygor) showed up.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not so much that the parody show was odd (aside from trying to figure out what was being said &#8212; albeit the comedy was so broad that it wasn&#8217;t too difficult to follow), but that it was parodying an Irwin Allen American TV series from 1966 that probably two in a hundred Americans could recall, let alone name.
