{"id":8237,"date":"2006-01-13T10:37:29","date_gmt":"2006-01-13T17:37:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2006\/01\/13\/reputations-or-prejudices.html"},"modified":"2006-01-13T10:37:29","modified_gmt":"2006-01-13T17:37:29","slug":"reputations_or","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2006\/01\/13\/reputations_or.html","title":{"rendered":"Reputations or prejudices?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An interesting map showing <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.outer-court.com\/prejudice\/\" target=\"_blank\">what people in different nations are know for<\/a> &#8212; based on searches in Google framed as &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=%22germans+are+known+for+*%22\" target=\"_blank\">Germans are know for<\/a>&#8221; and taking &#8230; well, <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.outer-court.com\/forum\/16602.html\" target=\"_blank\">actually<\/a>, it&#8217;s taking a somewhat random smattering of interesting answers, rather than the top X.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, Americans are &#8220;known&#8221; for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strength\n<li>Dislike of walking\n<li>Geniality and hospitality\n<li>Anti-Muslim politics<\/ul>\n<p>Hmmm.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, one could ask the difference between prejudice (how the author labels it) and reputation or stereotype.
