We use Sprint Personal Conferencing at my company — if I want to set up a conference call, I send all the participants a standard phone number (toll free, plus an International number) plus a code that represents “my” conference area. It’s a hell of a lot easier than juggling normal conference calling, especially for calls that may have a dozen or more participants.<\/p>\n
There’s an automated attendant who answers the call (“Welcome to Sprint Personal Conferencing. Please enter your …”), and it’s been the same for the last three-four years we’ve been doing it. I’ve probably heard that particular voice hundreds of times.<\/p>\n
And now it’s changed! She’s perky! She’s peppy! She’s happy and hyped up and cheerful and …<\/p>\n
… damned jarring. It’s like finding someone’s painted your office orange.<\/p>\n
