That’s very nice … but it might have been nice if you’d waved your hand a little bit and said, “Hey, you seem to be using a lot of resources, what’s up?” Or, “You are chewing up 5% of our server CPU, compared to 0.0001% for our average user. This may cause us to terminate your account.” Or even, “Dude, have you considered a business-class account? Because that’s what you’re acting like.”<\/p>\n

Funny you should ask, because I was wondering what the bloody hell had happened to performance on your systems today. Once again, my connections were badly, badly timing out to anything (including your home page) that I know is hosted by you, though connections to other sites seem fine.<\/p>\n
This goes along with the problem on Monday. And a week or two before that. And …<\/p>\n
And I know it wasn’t me <\/i>causing the problem … because I couldn’t even get to my site.<\/b><\/i> Got it?<\/p>\n
So, like the guy kicked out of an apartment where the heat never worked anyway, I pack up my bags, stagger to the bottom of the steps, and look around for where to doss down for the night.<\/p>\n
