Everyone’s seems to be having a blast in this thread developing new logos for existing companies in a “Web 2.0” style<\/a>, which style seems to include lots of …<\/p>\n

  1. \nPastel colors<\/li>\n
  2. \nSwooshes and splashes<\/li>\n
  3. \nReflections and highlights and texture and perspective shifts and other 3-D graphic show-offs.<\/li>\n
  4. \nSofter lettering<\/li>\n
  5. \nExclamation points<\/li>\n
  6. \nRemoval of the “e” in “-er” suffixes (Flickr-style)<\/li>\n
  7. \nWeb addressed names<\/li>\n
  8. \nTurning things on their sides<\/li>\n
  9. \nLots of version numbering, beta indications, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The irony is, as much as I dislike gratuitous re-logoing, some of these are pretty cool.  And others are just plain funny.  And almost all are better than most of the new logos I’ve seen of late.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
