For a weekend I’d thought would be largely tied up with City of Heroes, I ended up doing a lot of household activities.  Two stand-outs:<\/p>\n

  1. \nI finally got out into the yard to do some major weeding — rogue tree shoots that were 3+ feet tall, little things like that.  The yard is doing pretty well at the moment, for the most part, but with the singular exception of the front lawn, which is a disaster of near-Doycean proportions.  Equal parts bare dirt, splurge, and crab grass.  I have no idea what to do with it.  I do know we really need to do something with the front yard redesign, though.<\/li>\n
  2. \nWe finally put up the new blinds\/shutters in the master bedroom (only a month after the 3 Day Blinds box arrived).  There were a few problems having to do with our windows not being 100% plumb, especially in the corners, but they’re up, they look great, and they really shut out the light in the morning, while letting us get a bit of breeze through.  Excellent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    That just scratches the list of household chores that need doing, but both were high on the list.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
