{"id":9388,"date":"2006-07-18T06:34:52","date_gmt":"2006-07-18T13:34:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2006\/07\/18\/and-this-is-where-greg-potemkin-sits.html"},"modified":"2006-07-18T06:34:52","modified_gmt":"2006-07-18T13:34:52","slug":"and_this_is_whe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2006\/07\/18\/and_this_is_whe.html","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;And this is where Greg Potemkin sits &#8230;&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There&#8217;s a set of offices and cubes that face the entrance courtyard to my building.&nbsp; I&#8217;m in one of the offices, but the cubes are much closer as the walkway swoops around.&nbsp; Three of them look directly out on anyone approaching the front door &#8212; and vice-versa.<\/p>\n<p>As they are also SW-facing, I&#8217;ve been trying to keep their blinds down, both because of the heat and because, well, the cubes are empty at the moment.&nbsp; Which, frankly, makes the office look bad and creates a poor impression on visiting clients.&nbsp; Since I have an interest in the company and the office, it seems the least I can do.<\/p>\n<p>Problem is, someone keeps pulling up the blinds on one of the cubes.&nbsp; Not sure who.&nbsp; Not sure why.&nbsp; It&#8217;s nobody actually working there, but, presumably, someone likes letting the natural light into the space beyond.&nbsp; Problem is, heat aside, the cube looks &#8230; well &#8230; deserted.&nbsp; A monitor sitting on the counter, with its cable wrapped around its base.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>So, for the last week or so, I&#8217;ve been sprucing it up.&nbsp; Moving the cable down toward the floor.
