Sugar remains sequestered in the guest room. When we went to the vet on Saturday, she confirmed the standard post-shelter upper respiratory tract infection, and said to keep her apart until it ends — and, oh, here’s some brown goo to squirt in her mouth and some white goo to do the same with.<\/p>\n
Sugar’s actually not bad with the meds — she doesn’t like them, but I’ve never met a cat more restrained in scratching, despite the provocations, than her. And we’ve been trying to balance the meds with a lot of visits and petting, and yesterday, with the rains finally gone, she had run of the house for most of the day.<\/p>\n
Can’t wait, though, for her kitty sneezes to go away, so we can further integrate her with the household. Mist seems particularly suspicious of what’s going on in there …<\/p>\n
Hmmmm. I might need a “pets” category in this blog.<\/p>\n
And, on an unrelated but parallel note, Kitten’s cold is also getting a lot better, and I suspect she’ll be back on normal schedule tomorrow. Huzzah!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
