{"id":9435,"date":"2006-07-07T07:50:54","date_gmt":"2006-07-07T14:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2006\/07\/07\/predatory.html"},"modified":"2006-07-07T07:50:54","modified_gmt":"2006-07-07T14:50:54","slug":"predatory","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2006\/07\/07\/predatory.html","title":{"rendered":"Predatory"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For all the criticism of Google &#8220;unfairly&#8221; leveraging its search and AdWords functionality to make Google Checkout so attractive, I&#8217;m amused that eBay &#8212; which owns PayPal, seen as the the primary target for Google Checkout &#8212; is formally <a href=\"http:\/\/battellemedia.com\/archives\/002699.php\" target=\"_blank\">not accepting Google Checkout for eBay purchases<\/a> in their <a href=\"http:\/\/pages.ebay.com\/help\/policies\/accepted-payments-policy.html\" target=\"_blank\">payment policy<\/a>. <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"MARGIN-BOTTOM: 0px\">From time to time, as new payment services arise, eBay will evaluate them to determine whether they are appropriate for the marketplace.
