{"id":9939,"date":"2006-10-09T06:10:58","date_gmt":"2006-10-09T13:10:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/2006\/10\/09\/slow-and-steady.html"},"modified":"2006-10-09T06:10:58","modified_gmt":"2006-10-09T13:10:58","slug":"slow_and_steady","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2006\/10\/09\/slow_and_steady.html","title":{"rendered":"Slow and steady"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, the good news or the bad news first?<\/p>\n<p>Well, let&#8217;s try the bad news:  since the first of the year, my weight has gone up 5 lbs.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s actually &#8230; not really too bad news.  It&#8217;s been a sloppy year, eating-wise.  But the weight has actually held pretty steady, remarkably enough, since May.  I&#8217;ve bobbed this year between 207 and 217, and am presently in the happy medium at 212.  And, in some ways, that&#8217;s the good news, too.<\/p>\n<p>Another piece of good news is that I&#8217;m still trending right for my <em>1500 Miles to Nowhere<\/em>.  Actually, the last week has been pretty good for that, as rehearsals and the play itself require a lot of walking (about 1,500 steps each run-through).<\/p>\n<p>So &#8230;now that that&#8217;s behind me (albeit with a lot of other things going on in front of me), it sounds to me like a good time to kick back in the Geek Diet, and see if I can hit (and sustain) the 200 lb. mark by the end of the year.  I&#8217;d like to be able to tell everyone that size 36s are still on the table, even if I&#8217;m falling into the range where some fit and some don&#8217;t.  Won&#8217;t be as impressive as all of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.average-bear.com\/archive\/009059.html\" target=\"_blank\">this<\/a> sort of activity,<br \/>\nbut man&#8217;s gotta know his limitations.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, the good news or the bad news first?
