Guy finds great parking spot. Parks there. Comes back to find that it was really a No Parking zone, and he has a ticket on his windshield. How could he have missed the markings on the pavement, he wondered.<\/p>\n

Except that the locals got photographic evidence that things weren’t quite as they seemed<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When Nasser Khan left his vehicle overnight in Chapel Street, Salford, he was certain he had parked in an unmarked stretch of the road. So he was left bemused the next morning after discovering he had been handed a ticket for illegal parking.<\/p>\n

But workmen had been captured on CCTV crouching underneath the car to paint in the gap, almost melting the tyres on Mr Khan’s car. A waiting parking warden then issued the ticket.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old marketing consultant, said: “I thought I was lucky to get the space but I didn’t think I would get a ticket because it was a legitimate parking area.<\/p>\n

He added: “I took the car to a garage and I was told the tyres were unroadworthy. I could have had a blow-out at any time.”<\/p>\n

Between the closed circuit TV and cell phone pics snapped by people nearby, Khan had enough evidence to get the local city council to revoke the ticket. They’ve refused to budget on the tires, though.<\/p>\n
