… if there’s snow, you have to push the snow out of the way with the doors …

… but you can put a floor mat just inside the door to let the young’un who’s been playing in the back yard divest boots and gloves and jackets and other snowy clothing (since the doors don’t open in over them) …

… and you can put a chair over there by the heater vent by the door to hang jackets and the like from (since the door doesn’t open up in the way).

Though I’ve escorted Katherine around trick-or-treating in years past (*sniff*), she decided that this year it would be Mommy’s turn, so she headed off, all purple-kittied up, with Mommy and (since he’d been over raking leaves) Justin in tow.

And came back with her little plastic pumpkin full of candy. Yeesh. Evidently she was the first to arrive at some houses (though it was after dark), and the proprietors decided to reward her with big handfuls. It was heavy enough so that while I was taking her and Justin over to the Testerfolks, it was setting off the “there’s someone sitting in the passenger seat who isn’t wearing a seat belt” idiot light.

We had maybe seven or eight visitations, though some of those were clusters of 2-8. We still have (as usual) waaaaaay too much candy in the house.

Snow

I love Colorado. Yes, commuting in snowy weather can be a bitch at times — though my own trip in this morning was too bad — but, damn, it’s gorgeous…

Yes, commuting in snowy weather can be a bitch at times — though my own trip in this morning was too bad — but, damn, it’s gorgeous to look around and see everything dappled in white, especially on the first morning I’ve arrived at work in daylight in a few months (due to Daylight Savings Time).

Anyway, yeah, I love it.
