  1. To be absolutely fair, it is very easy to misspell when doing a large, poster-size piece of writing, since each letter is treated separately.

    On the other hand, that nobody either noticed *or* decided to do anything about it is … shameful.

    You’re also correct, of course, that misspelling is not a monopoly of the Nativists (let alone any particular arbitrary end of the simplistic spectrum). It’s just funnier during a protest that involves “English First!” protesters.

  3. I was actually telling Katherine about the problems in writing a large poster just the other night. And heaven knows *I’ve* done it. So I can’t justly poke fun at English-Only idiots for *that*, at least.
