TL;DR: Many companies which use the common English word "alphabet" in their company name are shocked, shocked that another company is now using the common English word "alphabet" in their company name.
Also, owner of the domain alphabet.com warns new company that is using the much cooler domain abc.xyz that their alphabet.com domain is not for sale.

Alphabet is Google’s new entity that will house its search and other units, but other businesses — including a BMW subsidiary — have already staked a claim on the name.
You’d think they’d use something… like I don’t know, “Google” or even Bing to figure out that domain was in use.
No, they are concerned that the market abusing, tax dodging, data stealing company that Does Evil will completely overshadow attempts to find them on the internet. Ooo look, Google are getting into cars, but there is already a car manufacturer who has a ‘Alphabet’ identity for there cars. Well, what a completely unexpected coincidence. I bet Google were as surprised as everyone else when they renamed their holding company that will have no effect on their public branding.
