Landscaping – Jigsaw

Because BD demanded it! It’s all juist pieced at the moment, not set. This also doesn’t show the front door or the first terrace wall….

  1. Ohhhhhh….nice!

They have done a great job of mixing and matching the colours and stone shapes. 🙂

I like that the down spouts are under the patio now, that will cut way down on it getting super icy. Where do the spouts come out?

So, are the stones going to be cemented in place, or are they just going to pack dirt around them and call it good?

  2. Well, while they do look for generally compatable shapes, generally every piece is cut to the spot to line up with each other.

The downspouts go east, i.e., to the right of the patio as you stand in front of the house.

They’re going to use a sand/cement filler that isn’t as elaborate or permanent as concrete but does self-adhere so it’s stronger than just sand/dirt. They have to move each piece to do it, though (it will go under as well as between).
