John Kasich hasn't read the US Constitution lately

Um … I'm pretty certain the Establishment Clause of the 1st Amendment pretty much rules out setting up a government agency to promote explicitly religious values. But, hey, I'm not a GOP Presidential Candidate, so what do I know?

'He defended creating a new government agency at a time when fellow Republican presidential candidates discuss eliminating government agencies to making the government smaller.'

Yes, the biggest problem with this is that it violates … the principles of small government.

'"There's nobody who's spent more time shrinking government and cutting budgets than I have," Kasich, the former head of the House Budget Committee said, adding that not all government programs are equal.'

Nor, apparently, all religions.

And so the Overton Window noodges further to the right.
