Cue “Sunrise, Sunset”

Crikey! Katherine went to her age 9 annual check-up this afternoon — and came home with a brochure, “From Girl to Woman.” Which, I will note, she is reading avidly, even (her words) the “icky stuff.”

And, yes, I know that’s a good and proper and age-appropriate thing, and, in fact, something I’d been wondering about and meaning to talk with Margie regarding … but it’s still a “GAH!” moment, as a dad, from the whole, “MY LITTLE GIRL!!!!” perspective.

(As a side note, she is Nearly Perfect in Health, and at 75th Percentile in both Height and Weight.)

She has now given me fair warning that she is likely to be “moody.” I’m doomed.
