Links (most recent first) that caught my eye, but did not warrant full-blown blog entries ….
- Firefox 5: Very fast, but unusable on Mac OS X – I haven’t noticed a font problem with Windows — but I find it a poor performer after being open more than a few hours.
- Memory expansions then and now – It’s ironic, but the future has more memory than the past …
- Gary Johnson Denounces “Family Leader Pledge” – Bravo, sir.
- Goodbye Self-Service Checkout – Whenever possible, I use the self-service check-out. I’m not looking for idle chitchat with my checker, and the line is usually shorter.
- Rachel Maddow: During Real Jobs Crisis, Our Two Political Parties are Discussing How to Make it Worse – “And this is a real crisis. Our economy has been almost unfathomably sick. - Breaking: Senate President Russell Pearce Recalled In Arizona, Must Run For Re-Election Or Resign. – Very cool. I don’t have any idea whether this means he’s actually vulnerable in a special election, but at least there are folks taking a stand against him.
- From the archives: The Gay-Hatin’ Gospel – This post is a couple of years old, but his examining the question of antipathy toward gays has become the defining tenet of American Christianity (in the preception of Christians and non-Christians alike) is spot-on.
