- Atheist Soldier Stands Ground in Spite of Threats for Refusing to Participate in Military Graduation Prayer – Really? Do you think that Jesus would approve of forcing someone to look like they’re praying? Didn’t he in fact, condemn insincere public displays of piety (Matt. 6:5-6)?
- Poster Problems: In Giles County, Va., The Unconstitutional Writing Is On The Wall « The Wall of Separation – What I love is the disingenuous “Well, WE didn’t put it up, so it’s not governmental speech” argument. Don’t think Jesus likes lying, school board members, esp. about whether you “support” him or not.

- EPA to regulate disposal of fracking wastewater – The Denver Post – Which is an excellent thing — except that it’s a matter now of “drafting standards,” which will take a year or two, and then dealing with unrelenting lobbying by the natural gas industry and the anti-EPA crowd, and be faced by the real chance of either Congress preventing such regs to take place, or a politically over-sensitive Administration (like the present one) deciding to suspend them for the time being.

The US military does seem to be overstepping the church/state boundary rather much of late, judging by what’s coming to light via the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.
What idiocy is going through the minds of the NYPD, and what must their PR department be thinking about this matter?
Hurray for Foray!
I agree with the author of the article on the corporate immunity case. I admit to being fearful, given the current SCOTUS tendency to rule for Corporations and against Individuals/Class Actions.
That is indeed one amazing Jack o lantern.
It’s unclear if the military has become more religiously conservative / evangelical, if those of that bent are simply becoming more zealous in trying to make all service members into Southern Baptists, or if it’s “just” the reporting rate of such incidents is climbing.
I’m sure the PR dept at the NYPDis having conniptions, but not much they can do.
