Let’s see… isn’t there the Consumer Product Safety Commission? Centers for Disease Control? or in the private realm, UL Laboratories or the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety?
I thought DHS was to protect us from terrorists.
It’s very odd. And it came out (as far as I can tell) just as a tweet from the official DHS Twitter account.
Which makes me wonder if it (a) it was an internal “safety moment” posted with the wrong account, or, more likely, (b) something the account manager thought was good, safe advice and wanted to pass on, not realizing that it would be analyzed and/or mocked as an Official DHS Warning.
I didn’t watch the video–is it the one with Shatner?
@Marina – No, this is a “legit” turkey fryer safety video. But it conveys much the same message.
