So a pilot, once again, asks for some Arab-looking passengers to be taken off the plane. They're rescreened, checked, and returned to the flight — which is thus delayed by four hours.
First off, kudos to whoever decided to delay the flight while the rescreening was taking place (unless that was the easiest way to deal with the fact these people's luggage was buried down in the hold).
Second, reading the commentary here is to enter an extraordinarily scary world where detaining anyone who's foreign, funny-looking, or in some generic class identified with folks who have committed terror acts in the past should be treated as suspects of the same bent … and if they don't like it, they should just go home. During which the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII is raised as a thing to be emulated. Insane … #ddtb
