I'm really torn on this one.
On the one hand the TPP negotations look like they are turning into a total disaster as far as the effect on the general citizenry (vs. some companies that will make out, big time), and anything that would lend them some measure of transparency would almost certainly be a Good Thing. (Yes, I am aware that it's difficult to effectively negotiate in public. I am also aware that the results will be presented to Congress as a "we have to do this, and nothing else, and no amendments can be made, and the Fate of the Free World depends on its passage as-is." So some earlier chance for feedback and "no, that's not acceptable" push-back from the public or our elected representatives would be a positive.)
On the other hand, Issa is a power-mad toad, a busy-body bureaucrat who never met a Congressional power he didn't like and wasn't willing to abuse for his own political purposes, and I wouldn't open the door to my house, let alone my conference room, if Jesus and all His angels were at his back. (And that has nothing to do with the most recent contretemps, as Issa has been that way for decades.)

I have never trusted that man. I don’t know how he keeps getting re-elected, but perhaps I’ve being disengenuously naive.
