Look — another reason to avoid WalMart

Because WalMart is all about American values — like making its employees work a shift on Thanksgiving night, instead of being home with their families.  Classy!

I would not shop at WalMart if they were selling $50 bills for $14.99.

Walmart will kick off its holiday sales rush at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving , its earliest start ever, and will guarantee that those who line up can buy a trio of gadgets as it places a big bet that shop…

  1. We try to avoid WM at ALL costs…though with the power outage we had to shop there for a few things that we couldn't get other places….like cheese and eggs. Sigh I will say though that the amount of times we go there is very very small…something like maybe once every 6 months and that is only if we can't get what we need somewhere else. With one exception…when we visit my family in TN we shop at WM only because my dad lives in the boonies and WM is LITERALLY the only place to go for anything but food that isn't more than an hour away…but we try to limit even that to what we have to have.

  2. I've usually stayed away on principle (since learning that their employee health insurance plan doesn't include childhood vaccinations).  I probably haven't been in one in four years.

  3. We stopped going when they closed the Wal-Mart near in favor of a Super-Wal-Mart on the inconvenient side of town. We haven't quit Sam's Club though, so it is not exactly a stop.
