It is hard to avoid the tribalism this week

So … um … go Broncos.

There, I said it.

(And, yes, I'll be at an actual SUPERBOWL PARTY on Sunday. So there.)

Now this is cool!  The Empire State Building lit up in #Denver #Broncos orange and blue tonight!

  1. As a resident of the Seattle area, I am required to take exception with you and root for the team that is based in my geographic area. Go Ospreys! (As a birder, I feel compelled to use the American Ornithological Union nomenclature rather than popular but unofficial names for birds.)

  2. Whereas, living in  "cow town" in a "Wild West State," I am required by the sheriff to use an appropriate rodeo/rancheresque term, rather than rooting for "Horses, Particularly Those Who Buck",

    Besides, that's awkward to chant.

  3. Social protocol dictates that I deride you with scornful mockery, so here goes.

The football team in geographic proximity to you is woefully inadequate.

I'm sorry I had to do that, Dave, but society demands it.
