Crikey. A prescribed burn at RMA of 150 acres got a little interesting when the fire created a dust devil that sucked up tumbleweeds and fire and … yeah, what Les said.
RMA's an intersting place — the former site of the US Army's chemical weapons factory, it later had space leased out to various pesticide manufacturers. Despite that, only certain core areas were badly contaminated, and those have been since cleaned up. It's now a large wildlife area (one of the most pristine plains areas near downtown Denver, since so much acreage was fenced off), and houses a major bald eagle nesting site.
And, we now know, firenadoes!

A tumbleweed firenado. I totally expect to see this made into a bad SyFy film in the very near future. Probably using the same terrible sound track.
